"They've got to be the weirdest country on the planet today." They are worse than you can imagine. Before I married, I spent a couple of days with the ex-director of Science and Technology of the former East Germany. Did he have stories... According to him, he went to NK on many occasions. If you went into the homes of typical NK's, they had shrines to the leadership. There were contests every year for students, and the the reward was a "personal" letter from The Leader. If this is true, not only are they weird, they are extremely dangerous. Because they are wiling to die for much more than any one else. They have a God incarnate. Unfortunately, that also explains a lot of their behavior...
