" Wait till you see what happens to our economy when the fighting engulfs Saudi Arabia and the oil stops."

For coolaid-drinkers like Hawkie, that will just be MORE reason to keep trying to pound the terrorist nail with the ill suited, counterproductive military hammer. After all, he's getting paid big bucks for the futile effort!

Is this another prediction of victory right around the corner? Attacks on our soldiers continue to slowly climb.

Victory? What's the definition of Victory??

Have we won a "victory" over criminal activity and corruption?

Or have we merely "contained" it to minimize the social disruption??

That's going to be the measure of victory here.. Iraq will likely never be without some form of terror, if only the "traditional" kidnapping for profit to fund illicit activities..

Stability, and an accountable government that increasingly is more and more accountable to both majority AND MINORITY.. That's victory..

And it's going to take awhile..

What I'm more interested in is when the US can reduce it's military presence here to less than 50,000 people, or better yet.. none at all...

That will be a victory to me..

None of our activities in Iraq is doing anything to prevent another WTC attack. To stop a WTC attack we need to concentrate on better police work.

What you think we're doing now? We're capturing people who have been LONG-TIME Al Qai'da operatives, with experience fighting in Afghanistan and long-time associates with Bin Ladin, as well as HIS facilitators.

If that's not "police work", I don't know what is??
