Home Depot and Lowes opened nearby not that long ago

I think you have to give it some time before evaluating it. When Crown Books came into my area in the eighties, I think, small bookstores hung on for quite a number of years but they all finally succumbed. Of course, Crown is gone now, too, and so are all the shopping mall chains. It's all big and bigger now. CB has a hardware store near her but I don't know of any left around me. Only Home Depot and Lowe's. The last one changed focus and hung on for a while but was gone when I last visited.
