I dunno....really large scale mortgage defaults...wouldn't that take down the securities and still kill the market segment ? I'll have to read up on these; mostly out of curiosity. Maybe BD has a insider perspective from his West Houston Mort. co. ?? But then again he may be in Norway, and out of pocket. Picked up Jan RIG calls today, at what has seemed to be support for the last few weeks.

OT: i have seen data on tv showing a large percentage of these mortgage backed securities are owned by foreigner interests. i could be wrong in my understanding of this due to a misunderstanding of the data flashed on the screen some weeks ago. perhaps the russwinter epic board has this info somewhere, but i have not found it.
