I'm trying to keep day to day partisan politics out of it. Collapse of society, not collapse of the political system. Lots of political threads out there.

Gore is a bore. perfect for the politic threads. *********************** I don't think American politicians created Peak Oil They are just subchapters in the long global slide into shortage. Jimmy Carter told the story in the seventies but we did not have ears. This predated bushy boy and dickmeister. They just want to profit from it. Peak Oil can turn those two into kittens. If and when it comes barreling towards us at full pace those two won't stop it. They just want to suck us dry. It is simple. It is either happening or its a giant conspiracy by the oil boys....... I vote happening. the oil boys are not that smart to be able to hold that lie together.
