Oh no! That is definitely NOT what I meant. You can see the context of the rest of my statement. I meant we screwed the Indians royally and they were a majestic people in many ways. It was a tragedy. But at least we have made a good nation out of this one. With all its warts, I still think it is the greatest on earth.

"I've got news for you. American Indian tribes have their own sovereign lands in the US. So you are wrong their too. We conquered the American Indians and with that passed a very spiritual way of life. It sucks that it happened, but here we are and we've made good of this nation." I read his words as "Despite the bad things done to the American Indians in the past, overall we have made the USA into a good nation." Go back to class!
