HaHaHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How were you able to miss the ENTIRE, MULTI-YEAR BATTLE over accounting reform? And all those warning from the head of the SEC, the head of the Federal Reserve?

And miss the pre-Y2K HISTORIC flood of Fed-engineered liquidity?

Are you *new* to the planet? Been on a LONG Safari or something?

(PS --- back to the text books, rrm: the Fed controls the money supply. That is the task and the authority given to them by Congress. The Treasury's influence over liquidity is modest by comparison [and the Rubin era Treasury was *mopping up* liquidity with it's bond buy-backs, not engaging in any unprecedented expansions of liquidity as the Fed was].... Rubin was head of the Treasury, *not* head of the Federal Reserve.)
