I hope they don't cherry pick American Rights to defend.

We both know they do, of course. But Karen has a point. I don't know how NYC gets away with their gun law.

Yes you do, if you read my response.
I said convenience.

Yes, I saw that. But you didn't suggest what might be convenient about it.

I searched the news on "NRA" and "convenience" and found nothing.

Does the NRA happen to have a convention in SF this week so they were all sitting around drinking and the idea occurred? Or maybe their file drawer labeled "S" is empty and the rest are filled so they were looking for a job in an "S" city? Or maybe they just finished a big case and have lawyers who were freed up just as SF acted? Or they just got a big donation and need to put the money to work before the end of the year or they'll have to pay tax on it?

It's hard to imagine filing a suit just because it's convenient. Do you have some insight on this?

<<I would like to know why the ACLU has not jumped all over this obvious infringement of Constitutional rights. I hope they don't cherry pick American Rights to defend.>>

Cherry pick some and trample over others.

The ACLU will not touch a 2nd Amendment case. It's their policy. Heard that straight from an ACLU attorney a few years ago.
