Saddam had 12 years to acquire WMD after the Gulf War and didn't. He had 12 years to attack us and never did. Except for a few pot-shots at our passing planes (as we were bombing the hell out of him) he never lifted a finger against us. Mainly just big talk, no action. All the atrocitgies Saddam committed that rightwingers talk about were done in the 80's when Reagan supported Saddam. We might have even supplied him with the weapons. We also supplied his enemy the Iranians.
