One of the strange persistant delusions that I encounter is that it is damaging to a country to have a strong currency. A strong currency means that you can easily purchase whatever else the world has to offer. I think the loonie is still much undervalued and that if Canadians can just keep their government in check, they may soon be the wealthiest nation per capita in the world. But they had better restrain the government from interfering any more than it already does in the economic arrangements within the country.
