We don't want to do that, but we could. Which totally wipes out the argument of letting the oil fall into the hands of the terrorists.

No duh... But of course you must pleasures yourself while pondering thoughts of $100/barrel oil and a global recession/depression.. breadlines.. starving people.. and war spreading across the continents...

Aside from the price of oil, I seem to recall that's what Global Depressions create...

I'm for free, fair and representative government.

Only if all all of those attributes are enjoyed by you and denied to everyone else, right??

That free government in the US was NOT free, nor was it always fair.. Because government of the people, by the people, and for the people, is a reflection OF THE PEOPLE.

And people have not always been as "sophisticated" as you would have us believe..

Evidence of that is available on the news at night.. where some VERY socio-pathic individuals are pursuing what they believe is a very logical and machiavellian path.

The military industrial complex is out of control and you are one of it's cheerleaders.

I guess that makes you a cheerleader for the powder puff girls??
