You are right it can solve some problems, but not long term issues between cultures and people. I am just so tired of trying to explain why Iraq is not the same as OBL. Killing OBL, good. Attacking Iraq, bad. I'll bet that if you read a story about a woman who repeatedly got involved with men that beat her you'd agree that she was making some bad decisions. Perhaps you'd even say she might have issues that need to be looked at and she should think twice about her choices. Doesn't mean she is to blame for the actions of those creeps. Right? But it would be smart for her to learn to avoid those guys. And if she can't that's when she might want to get a gun. Why is Americas foreign policy different? Israel and Palestine. The Shah and Iran. OBL and the Russians in Afghanistan. For crying out loud we armed Saddam. And now a new and more powerful Iran is emerging. There is a difference between tucking tail and running and being smart about not sticking your head out and asking for people to take a swing at it! We should be smarter with our foreign policy. Energy independence should be a national priority. And we should take whatever steps needed to kill people who trespass against us. jb
