Geoff, You just boggled Nick's mind so bad, it will take some time before he can come up with any kind of thought

Give him some time, it's the weekend so hopefully he'll have some time to respond. Haqi, I'd love to have someone poke at this.

Peter and I both have been wanting to refine this argument. Where I've glossed over some specifics, he's gone on to clarify already but for Nicks sake and to minimize clutter I've just reposted the original today. I've previously reposted our posts from the PGWB thread, where they were buried, to here where it's more "peaceful" <g>. We could refine the basic premise up the wazoo between us but I think it would be much more interesting if we got the democrats/liberals involved. Hopefully we can all refrain from using generalized epithets that close rather than keep minds open. I see parets already started with his favorite all liberals are commies approach. I'd put it to him that this does nothing to further an open discussion and only serves to alienate. Peter regulates civility on Bush 43 very well so I feel we have a much better chance of actually getting somewhere here.

haqi, there's a documentary on TV called "Declarations of War".
I'm so pissed after watching it I can barely type. It's supposed to be opposing ideas by more or less average Americans. It wasn't unbais, as usual you can figure which way it leaned.

Still no antiwar types have shown up to debate my premise.

It seems the anti-war types don't have the back bone for a real debate here. This being a place where both sides of the issue could be debated without the usual smoke screens that detour most debates. I don't think we'll see Nick here again, he's obviously a one liner kind of guy........
