I heard a report from a grunt in Iraq on NPR today. He said that the media had interviewed them on an operation they had participated in.

By their commanding officer, they were explicitly ordered to LIE about the performance of the participating Iraqi troops, who had thrown down their weapons and bugged out at the commencement of hostilities. They were ordered to tell the media that the Iraqis had perfomed valorously, and were magnificent soldiers!
