Your list of 100 dollar hammers is not news. It doesn't change anything I believe. Perhaps you imagine overnight is the right time frame for getting the job done, I don't know, but by god all the other uses of our money are appropriate, and it seems to me you've put yourself in a place where you advocate an overkill which would not get the job done sooner at reasonable cost.

The Air Force Colonel I spoke to (who had just returned from Saudi Arabia) told me that Halliburton is the box in Iraq and are over-charging on everything but not getting the job done. He further said that no one knows where the Iraqi oil money is going, nor how much US taxpayer money is missing. This Colonel wanted to do the job right, but found that the Bush-Cheney-Halliburton "mafia" not only failed, but have turned into major league gougers and cheaters. He also said "Saudi Arabia" is not our friend.
