Exactly. And I was countering that point (correcting you actually) that the good guys may not have won. You seem to think that because there were some bad guys (in you judgement) in the group that maybe the good guys didn't win. But his point (which I believe needs no "countering") is that the ones for LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS won. The people against this (which I am sure included good and bad folks) lost. And we have America now. Here is my original response, which states my view acurately.

ORIGINAL RESPONSE:
But your point was in the context of somthing that was pretty black and white. And that is that the side that won was the one that was for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. A true statement that you then spun into an editorial comment on the people that won the battle. I don't think Thomas was saying that no Americans ever did anything bad and never will. He said the good guys won, and he was right.
