The Falkland Islands are an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom, executive authority being vested in Her Majesty the Queen and exercised by the Governor on her behalf. falklands.gov.fk IOW, they maqke no pretense at all of independence from Britain. But it was not difficult to apprehend that pre-invasion (U.S.) intelligence was either manipulated for political and economic interest or was unreliable in the extreme. I'd agree at least with "unreliable". If they had a smoking gun, they would have gleefully shown it. The fact that they never did that speaks volumes all by itself. Canada considered that the invasion undermined the World Body and ignored valid options. You still have faith in the United Mafia? And you doubt the existence of God and Santa Claus? THis is weird! Having said that--there probably are Canadians fighting over there. Eh? Many Canadians suported the invasion. Many Americans (more now) did not. The rationale of self defense, though, limps along in a rather crippled fashion now for many Americans. But perhaps it was for the best. I reserve my judgement for 10,000 years. I don't think it'll take nearly that long. If it isn't fixed in a decade or less, forget it. "Yet you seemingly accuse us of ignoring it." No. Not at all. I have suggested it is time that the WORLD agreed to fight butchery and madness on a common front. Does the fact that we brought down a cruel butcher in Iraq count for anything?
