It was never a question. The insinuation was that our involvement was arbitrary. In reality it was the meeting of a duty to our Head of State and a protection of our mutually shared values of democracy and freedom.

I still recognize that Americans and Canadians come from all countries in the world. Thus, I think there are good people in all countries; and I believe that International problems (such as terrorism, nuclear proliferation, genocide, etc.) are best addressed through international policy and cooperation. This is an ideal to strive for, I believe.

I think a lot of Americans are questioning whether or not their children truly needed to die, and it is to them you may wish to address that question. My personal acceptance of the whole matter comes with reservations, as I have said. A lot of people have reservations.

But I think you must be seen to withdraw in your own time and without any sense of having given up the cause. Once the die is cast all good people must throw in with the troops and see it through. When those kids come home they must realize they risked their lives for something...
