CPU has nothing to do with gpu driver!!!

When OSX (officially) moves to x86, you'll be able to create a wrapper for Windows drivers and use all sorts of otherwise unsupported devices with OSX. Since Windows only exists on x86, I am conflating the two terms since this technique can, in fact, work with drivers from *any* x86 OS.

The common thread is...writing to the same CPU architecture.
