Hi Sig,

I should add that Costco has been selling Dell's computers on the Costco website for some time. If Dell offers a year's warranty, Costco adds a year, making it a two year warranty.

Yes, I suspect that Costco buys the computers from Dell and then sells them through the store or web. Dell must discount the computers such that Costco can make their own profits.

I can't help but wonder if Dell has the same agreement with other retail outlets.

PS: I hear that Dell is going to use AMD's processors on computers that are sold outside of the United States. Can you verify this?
