if goog is not a gorilla, then that particular animal is extinct. we can argue about their business model, valuation etc but there's no question it's a gorilla....

I don't see anything in your posts that disputes my claim that GOOG is great for the advertising industry, but has little to do with the technology industry.

How does GOOG's success drive growth in semis, PCs, printers, cell phones, telecom equipment, software, IT services or enterprise hardware?

It doesn't, as far as I can tell.

All GOOG does is capture the shift in ad dollars from print to the internet. That doesn't drive technology revenues higher.
