Thank you for your patience and understanding and most of all your civility. Let us keep the dialog going and identify areas where we can agree to disagree. You must have noticed my writing skills. They are not great either. And also my typing skills. But I am sure we do not need those skills to display some civility.

Geoff, Generally I agree with your post. However, some things deserve NO tolerance. I will always and forever be INTOLERANT of those who behead innocents in order to strike fear in others and terrorists in general. Tolerance in this case will mean literally the death of anything resembling civilization. Perhaps you should "nuance" your thoughts on tolerance.

When one is fighting a hateful domestic enemy that would see America dead no matter WHAT enemy had to be embraced-subhuman Islam, unlimited abortion, the Soviet Union, etc.-intolerance is the rule of the day. The anti-American community of our day DESERVES no tolerance, and to lend it to them is foolhardy, or worse...
