It has more to do with freedom and especially economic freedom. For instance you can wind up with chinas as easily as mini-europe/usa. "America's liberal MSM efforts to promote the terrorists by calling the "insurgents". They are butchering killers " There are at least two distinct groups we are fighting against in iraq--nationalists of either the baath or just sunni or just shiaa stripe and terrorists. It isnt fair to overlook the fact that terrorists are butchering killers but it is equally wrong to label every iraq insurgent a terrorist. Iraqis for the most part want us to stay and want us to go and feel this both at the same time. If we can set a timetable, it might just split the nationalists from the terrorists and better yet the terrorists are foreigners who would be easy to kill in a very tribal society.

The "terrorists" are not fighting us in Iraq because they want to see their names in the headlines. They are fighting us because we invaded their country. If we go away, and if we stop giving one-sided support to Israel in its illegal occupation of the West Bank, we will not have a terrorist problem (at least with respect to the Arabs --- the Mossad might try to run a false flag operation or two... but that would also be a police problem, and would not require an invasion of Israel).
