Re: "Innocent mistake.......religious and reactionary fundamentalists appear to run your party."

There's your second innocent mistake. Not my party.

Hmmmm...........you don't belong to the GOP? You seemed to imply that you did. My mistake.

In any case, I do believe the GOP is controlled by the religious fundamentalists; to whit, Bush's appointee to the USSC was deemed inappropriate by the fundamentalists and soon after she was recalled; the fundies really like ID and low and behold, Bush and the GOP Congress come out in support of teaching ID in public schools; and they wanted to pull the cord on Schiavo, and amazingly Bush and Congress come flying back to DC, cancelling their respective vacations and passing special legislation for a specific person, unheard of in this country's history because the fundies were all freaked out over Schiavo. And you don't think the fundies control the GOP? If so, let me tell you.......I have some bridges I got for sale real cheap. I'll give you a very special price. ;`))

Re: "My attitude: birds of a feather flock together."

Then you will be in error, and serve yourself badly, IMHO, as you stick with broadly painting "all" Republicans as corrupt.

I didn't say all.....some GOPers have been backing away from the party. Their voices are no longer heard in support of the party and its endeavors. However, the people on this thread have not missed a beat in their support of Bush, Congress and the party. They aren't the cheerleaders they once were....that would be weird if they were.......but they still support anything with an elephant on it. The only negative I have seen a SI GOPer say about Bush is on the GW Bush tread......in the heading it now says: "Is Bush really a conservative?" Not real groundbreaking IMO.

Re: "If you guys don't want to be lumped in with the corruption and Karl Rove, then stand up and be counted."

Here you ask folks to side against corruption they don't believe exists, nothing more. You presume guilt where none is shown. Your tactic is inherently illogical.

Huh? Do you really want me to list all the corruption in the GOP from Congress on down in the past 5 years? Do you really want to put me through that miserable job and use up a lot of bandwidth? Let me know.

Re: "Nonsense. Deal with your own corruption first before you start determining what's corruption in others."

Considering the unconstitutional count Gore and his lawyers asked for from the very start of the little ordeal in 2000, I think you should be talking to yourself there, not me. Start by standing up against Gore's requested counting style.

Asking for a recount is unconstitutional? Since when? Do you make things up as you go along? In fact, Rove has asked for several recounts. The latest one was in WA state. And you doubt that people question the veracity of a Republican these days!
