Nah. But they do have a problem. At a guess, the CPU isn't binning out like they need it to, so they have to overclock to get the target performance. And that means they run hotter than the design point. The problem will be resolved as the process matures, but until then...


So your saying they should have started the process earlier so that currents bins would be advanced in age and the chips wouldn't run as hot. I'm surprised MSFT allowed that to happen. Is INTC still their chip maker? That would explain at least in part the problem. I don't think INTC has brought a chip to market recently that runs like it was intended.

Will that mean they'll have to recall the current 360s and replace the CPU? Yikes, that would be costly. Are you sure the stock won't be down by $2 on Monday.
