If you have followed some of the President's speeches or debates from years ago...the Ann Richards era in Texas, he speaks very clearly and makes few errors in syntax. He seems to have become much worse as a public speaker in the past six years...and his texas drawl has become much more pronounced.

Very puzzling...you would think the more times you face the press and public, the better you would get at reading a speech or replying to a question.

Geoff

Yeah, it is a Southern thing. lol

When one grows up learning to speak Beowulf English----a lot of strange combinations arise.

One little gem----------avalanche---------became avalancheeeee for a little cousin. In Baltimore-----a sack is a poke----in Tennessee, there is thar---and in Virginia "carry" is still used for taking someone in a vehicle.

All tonight.
