Carolyn, and I want paved roads which are properly marked WRT to where they lead, with sensibly spaced filling stations and good eateries in which I can, with some reasonable degree of faith, trust the water and the food to not give me some dreaded, obscure disease. Emergency callboxes along those roads is a nice touch but not mandatory.

At the end of the day, I want a clean bed and a clean bathroom, in-room coffee, and reliable high-speed Internet access. Room service is a nice touch but not mandatory.

Speaking of clean bathrooms, be sure to ask Laz if those places had hot and cold running water. Maybe just ask him if they had running water. After all, it's not nice or kind to rub salt in an open wound.

It's probably a good thing I wasn't born a couple of hundred years ago, for I don't think I would have made the cut as a pioneer. - Holly
