What do you think goes on at a "secret" prison? Why are they secret? Its a simple answer - because "black" things go on there. Its off the radar. Your pretty naive if you think "rules" are being followed. Obviously they exist to obtain information – that’s the only rule being followed – trouble is that information as we have seen in the Padilla case -most dramatic charges against Jose Padilla — dirty bomber, apartment bomber, terrorist mastermind — have now evaporated. That info was obtained by “interrogating suspected al-Qaeda types but turns out it wasn’t worth sh$t. Can you tell me how many people have died at these prisons due to torture? No you can't. We just have to trust the cowboys doing the interrogating don't go too far. Yeah sure - torturer's never go too far.
