Once torture techniques are approved cowboys will push the envelope. What kind of oversight do you think exists at these secret prisons?

Once again you cloud the issue, I was talking about regular soldiers in the field. What makes you think that "Cowboys that push the envelope" in violation of procedures are going to be affected by the US forbidding torture in any way shape or form. You're making the "simpletons argument". All that's going to happen by restricting interrogation techniques is that an important avenue that can be used to save Iraqi and American lives will be lost.
