I would say that is the exact same argument the Romans used to justify the techniques they used on their subjugated peoples and later on Christians. There was a means to an ends hanging people on crosses.

Do you see any conflict between you view and your beliefs as a Christian? Or are you saying a non-Christian life worth less than a Christian one?

Make note that labeling someone a terrorist does not neccessarily make them so in fact. Its a term thats thrown around liberally these days especially by Bush - its a known fact there was no link between the secular Saddam and religous Al Quaada. Bush got WMD's way wrong - don't think its the only mistake he's made.

I would state "I would rather American lives be lost rather than us become animals. It wouldn't be the first time Americans died for American values."

You see I don't see torture as an American value. I equate torture with Pol Pot, Saddam, Cheney, the ancient Romans. Those sorts.
