The Romans were a pagan bunch of hoodlums, but you have no clue as to what their argument may have been other than domination of the world known to them. If you want to continue to get into the Jesus thing, they were not really interested in crucifying Jesus, and Pontious Pilate even, physically, washed his hands of the whole situation. It was the Sanhedrin that insisted that Jesus be crucified because they were afraid that he threatened their iron clad rule of Israel, and Judea. The Roman soldiers did what they were ordered to do, as a result of the pressure put on the Romans by the Sanhedrin. The lives of those that murder their own people by sneaking around in crowds, and setting off bombs, are definitely worthless compared to any decent human being. Religion has nothing to do with it. When a group of people, regardless of their cause, arm themselves with guns, explosives, and rocket launchers, and use stealth by not wearing a uniform, and target innocent women, and children, there is no doubt that they are terrorists. If they will not face their enemy openly, they are terrorists. Sadly enough, there are Christian terrorists in our midst, operating in the U.S. by blowing up clinics, murdering doctors, nurses, and anyone else that gets in the way. I do not condone abortion used as birth control, but that does not justify murder by stealth. It is documented that Saddam provided training facilities, and monetary help to Al Quaida. He even offered a bounty to the Palestinians for each Israeli killed by them. Is such a program not the same as WMDs? He murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis because they disagreed with him. Are you saying that he had the right to do so, without anyone taking him to task? If so, it is you that is also a barbarian. Falling back, and caving in to the murderers of the world, is NOT an American value. Never has been, and never will be. Your vision of what is, or what is not, justified in dealing with enemies, is very limited, and self selected by your own thoughts, and cowardice. What would you do, if you were walking along a road in Iraq, wearing the uniform of the American military, and a blast of automatic fire from a concealed hiding place, turned your buddy's face into a mess of goo? Just stand there and cry that the poor sniper had a reason to hate Americans, while your buddy's life left his body? You don't have an American values, you have the liberal fear of not being politically correct.
