"The lives of those that murder their own people by sneaking around in crowds, and setting off bombs, are definitely worthless compared to any decent human being

We demonize our opponents. Make no mistake war is an ugly business from both sides of the conflict. We like to think we are better - but when the US military flattened Fallujja in retaliation last year many women, children and old people suffered horribly and that has been the case throughout Iraq for the last three years. "Honor" is not a value of war and what is happening in Iraq is not "honorable".

Really the "terrorists" in Iraq are not that hard to understand. The truth is the United States did invade and occupy with little provocation. Personally I would fight against an invader occupier - its one of the few circumstances when I would fight. They fight a war with the tools they have - car bombs - suicide bombers - because they don't have Carrier battle fleets or F-16. We call then cowardly - but does it take more conviction to be a suicide bomber or to drop a laser guided J-dam from 15,000 ft.? Either one results in death and destruction but somehow ours are more "moral". Remember though – to the British Washington was a “terrorist”.

"It is documented that Saddam provided training facilities, and monetary help to Al Quaida. He even offered a bounty to the Palestinians for each Israeli killed by them."

Here you are confusing the Israeli Palestinian conflict as somehow "our" fight by mentioning Al Quaida. The Israeli / Palestinian is complex but in no way does it justify the invasion of Iraq. Bush is still trying to link Iraq with Al Quaida. I really don't think he understands what he's done in Iraq. He simply gotten involved with the age old fight between the Sunni's and Shiites. "Victory" can only be achieved by basically exterminating the Sunnis. Why are we fighting the Sunni's in Iraq when it was Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan who bombed us?

Iraq is a MESS and ten years from now it will still be a MESS. I wish we were the "good" guys and we could follow standards of decency like no torture but sub standard people are running the country.
