So it may not meet your criteria. No, and it wouldn't either unless you want to believe just "anyolebody" that is spouting just another opinion (including me). That's why, UNLESS it is my opinion only, I try to give sources. Those sources can be wrong too, but at least they are a reference indicating part of why I formed the opinion I had.

We all use sources to form opinions. And then try to really think what opinion we *really* do have. If any.

Regarding this:
As for the importance of the news orgs making a point of this, I take your point. Still, it's hard for me to believe that there are a lot of people watching this news that don't already know that the losses in Iraq are tiny when compared with previous wars. I don't know what metric people use when they look at losses. Two thousand is not a lot when you compare it to Vietnam. OTOH, it's two thousand too many if you don't think we should have gone there in the first place.

I think we needed to go into Iraq. And our losses are few when compared to other wars. However, two thousand lives lost, and perhaps as many as 15,000 wounded, is so very sad, even if all of them were volunteers for the job.

That's why a group I belong to, and I support, does whatever we can for the Veterans, the families, and our active Military. Making hundreds of dozens of cookies, or candy, giving gifts to the families, decorating and gifting those in the Vets Hospital, and sending phone cards, or other gifts to those in active service is very small in comparison to the sacrifice they are making for all of us.

Re this:
if you look at moveon.org

No thanks. I don't have the stomach for that.

Makes me sick to my stomach as well, but then again, how does one know what those who oppose your ideas think, and are saying, unless you go directly to the donkey's mouth, so to speak.
