No. I'm saying that the BEST plan our government's BEST military planners and Arabist experts could come up with (a very workable plan that stood a good chance at success, and was extremely detailed, 13 volumes in all, the result of three years of inter-agency planning) was unceremonially dumped by a bunch of rosy-view idiots just before the invasion for a back-of-the-envelope 'plan' that amounted to little more then 'pie-in-the-sky' foolishness.... Neo-cons, many with little understanding of the realities of the region and no 'chops' for this kind of nation building planning screwed it up. The difficulties and failures that have ensued are on THEIR heads --- and are NOT THE FAULT of our excellent professionals in the Pentagon or State. "Would you prefer they slog on mired in an unworkable plan?" CLEARLY NOT!
