"So you think I am an idiot and am not cognizant of what you said."

I do not judge you; I evaluate your posts at face value. If you post a thing, I assume that is what you mean. When you post accusations that are only Democrat wet dreams which are contradicted by verifiable facts, I assume what most people would.

"I am talking about the Iraqi people. They need to have the "fire in their belly" to fight for democracy and work hard to sustain it."

The first clue about the difference between the disbanded army and the current one is that the old one was based on loyalty to Saddam and not merit. Shiite were not likely to advance in rank despite merit.

The current troops are willing to risk attack by the criminal element to get trained. Many of these people motivated by the ideals of having freedom. They are better trained and better equipped than previous Iraqi military were.

I am fairly sure that most of the previous Iraqi military leaders were trying to position themselves so they were close enough to the top to have a shot at being the next dictator, but not close enough to be executed in a fit of pique.
