Roebear, good comments.

The Hunt Brothers were basically screwed. They were awful guys and I know one of them, slightly. He's actually a decent guy, personally, but a piranha as a businessman. However, they followed the rules in place at the time and the rules were changed just to rip them off. Ex Post Facto is allowed at futures exchanges, but it always leaves a stink behind. That is one of my fears of a big bull market in precious metals. What is to prevent the government from doing something that screws over the smart investors and bails out those who bought homes or Google? But let's get there first and worry about the other later. <G>

I believe more in silver and gold than I do in silver and gold stocks. Talk about bad guys doing bad things to poor, disadvantaged people and countries. And pollute! Whewy! I mean, you really have to hold your nose to buy FCX or NEM. Or pretty much all the rest of them. And, I do. <VBG>
