In defense of the left, many folks on the right did not say this for the longest of times and even now if it wasnt for Murtha imo, the stonewalling would be still going on even stronger than it now is from Pres and Veep.
At a point in time the US decided to intervene in iraq given what it knew then. Much of the intel was flawed and one part of it was hyped to broaden public support (also nothing new) but now we are where we are and sensible people must determine what the best course is from here on. Calling Bush chimp, using revisionsist history thru the lens of 20/20 hindsight, accusing the opponents of the war of being saddam lovers or just yelling stay the course as loud as one can is all stupid stuff, whether from the left or the right. Moderate people need to determine next steps at this point in time. mike
