Laz--your contention that I am stuck with the two alternatives of either permitting genocide or invading Iraq is simply specious. Firstly, the genocide happened long before the invasion and secondly the invasion was more directly about WMD than it was genocide.

I have already told you that I would like to see a world effort to eradicate genocide. But that does not mean that I think the invasion was timely or sufficiently planned. Indeed, the genocide had already occurred.

In any event, I think the response to terrorism can be improved as countries dialogue together and work at understanding the threat and advancing ideas for defense--and aggression when needed. What do you think? Or do you think the future is better challenged by endless chatter in a world of silence..where countries dare not listen to one another?
