Bill Clinton blew it. He had the chance to drop Yugos during the bombings. It would have been hilarious and of course it would have been the best use of the "vehicles".

Actually, I did spend sometime in Yugoslavia when it was under Tito, the mid 1970's.

As a tourist (I was a teenager hitch hiking through the country). I was not visiting the tourist areas though. I visited places like this..

I noticed lots of people in uniform, soldiers mainly, and lots of children begging for food and money. There were political tensions too. I met quite a few guys about the same age as me on the run from the Authorities. Mainly Serbs who had been distributing (illegal) political pamphlets.

I think Tito was a better answer then what followed though... The civil war. He was also one of the few guys who faced down Stalin and the Soviets. Of all the commies, he was the most capitalist (western) leaning.
