LOL They fact is that our medical system is rigged to be a feeding frenzy for the doctors, lawyers and insurance companies. All propped up by taxpayer money. There is not a free market.

Researchers don't get paid as much for two reasons 1) Work about half the hours on average 40 vs 70-80+ /wk 2) if they make a mistake, nobody dies - they just start the next project Researchers that venture out on their own (startups etc), can and do make more than doctors - in that case however, they are risking their own capital, and reap large rewards if successful.

researcher doesn't have to work as hard, either. Man, its obvious you dont know ANYTHING about researchers. My son is a researcher working at N.I.H. . He has a Masters degree and is working on his Phd at John Hopkins along with full time job at NIH. You can call the lab there at midnight and often find him still at work. He works SO HARD that its frightening to me as his father. Remember, in medicine when you start an experiment, often you cannot just go home and leave it be till next day. jdn
