Glucosamine sulfate is also very effective, as is novasen, slow release aspirin for ant-inflammation and joint repair. Vitamin C also helps build collagen, so it is necessary for joint health. Vitamin B6 has been found to have an effect on arthritis.

It is true that some fats either promote or retard inflammation (Weil). Cut all normal fats including the polyunsaturates veggie oils, if you cannot stand NSAIDS and stick to olive oil and fish oils. Omega 3's should help. Evening Primrose oil has GLA which is effective as well. Ginger and Turmeric fight inflammation. Ginger helps regulate the ecosanoids such as prostglandin which induce inflammation response.

A person with bad inflammation of joints should eat less animal protein particularly. Increasing whole grains is called for.

I had heard that cherries helps reduce certain kinds of inflammation. The single most important ingredient in cherries is their massive quantity of vitamin C which they have in abundance over other foods by a strong multiple.

Expect 21 days to reduction of symptoms in above treatments.

Been a heck of a day and this is the first moment I could be at my computer. No Ralph your suggestions are not stupid or naive. Essential oils are proven to be beneficial. So many have offered great advice, very thoughtful and kind. I have been battling some kind of allergic and or inflammatory response that is separate from the wear and tear of my damaged knee cartilage for a long time. One thing that helped a systemic inflammatory response was getting rid of my root canal, believe it or not! The many suggestions from yourself, Eva and Eric are appreciated.

I have been working on some anti-yeast and organ cleansing lately, once I get that out of the way I can pursue some more supplements for my health. Mostly I was whining about the onset of winter!!! Used to ski a lot but today I do not dare in case it ends my golf life!!

Cheers,
Ogi
