Clapper~

as per usual, i've been busy doin' "stuff". (o:

photographed a nice Ruffed Grouse on the weekend.
I expect you might like to see this shot.
Closest I've ever gotten to one of these
as most game birds are pretty shy.

i have a rabbit coming to the log where i put
out seeds for the birds. here is a foto of it,
but i actually got some much better ones yesterday
and just haven't had time to put them up yet.

yesterday, just after i shot the fotos of the rabbit,
a the "control freak" red squirrel that terrorizes
the birds around the feeders went after the rabbit
and chased it across the yard and under my van!
never have seen a squirrel quite so aggressive
as this one. this is its second year around
the bird feeders.

today, i've been photographing birds at the feeders.
i got some nice shots of a red-breasted nuthatch
that comes to the suet feeder. it's gotten used
to me enough that today i was able to open the window
and turn the suet feeder around and hold the camera
within about a foot of the bird. i'll be putting
some of those shots up later and will post some links.
