"We should have nuked Fallujah the day after the four contractors were abused and hung from the bridge."

If you remember, you made a comment about dropping a MOAB on it, and I agreed. The problem with that situation is that sort of disorder cannot be tolerated. Yeah, it would have sucked for those Fallujans who didn't have anything to do with the deaths of the contractors, but their life really sucked after we turned the city over to the Sunni militias. And then truly sucked when we had to go back later and essentially leveled the city.

We did "nuke" Fallujah with white phoz (willy peter) bombs which burn all people below including innocent civilians and babies, alive. At first the Bushies denied using these bombs but then admitted it. This smacks of the worst of Vietnam.

You don't win the hearts and minds by dropping White phoz, agent orange or napalm on people.

Bush should have guarded the ammo dumps after the invasion to begin with the Fallujah would not have been so dangerous to begin with. Huge blunder.

Fallujah was a direct result of Bush's rushed invasion and pisspoor planning.

UN Ceremony Includes Map of ´Palestine´ in Place of Israel
Arutz Sheva ^ | 12-8-05

The United Nations held a "Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" last week. A large map of “Palestine,” with Israel literally wiped off the map, featured prominently in the festivities.

The ceremony was held at UN headquarters in New York and was attended by Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.

During the festivities a map labeled a "map of Palestine” was displayed prominently between UN and PLO flags. The map, with “Palestine” written in Arabic atop it, does not include Israel, a member of the UN for 56 years. The map does not even demarcate the partition lines of November 29, 1947, marking a Jewish state alongside an Arab state – dictated by the UN General Assembly itself.

With the map hanging behind him, Secretary-General Annan addressed the public meeting at UN Headquarters.

At the start of the ceremony, the dignitaries present asked attendees to observe a moment of silence. “I invite everyone present to rise and observe a minute of silence in memory of all those who have given their lives for the cause of the Palestinian people,” the master of ceremonies said, “and the return of peace between Israel and Palestine.“

"It was a moment which has been crafted to include the commemoration of suicide-bombers,” Anne Bayefsky, who reported on the event for the Eye on the UN organization said of the ceremony's wording.

In response to the event, Bayefsky has once again asked the U.S. to withhold funding from the UN.
