That's what I mean. A lot of rightists are spewing the same lines - Earle's an idiot, the case is weak - and then stare blankly when you try to pin them down on details.

The case looks strong; you don't need a law degree to see that if you dig a little. When people start to argue for technicalities, you know they're desperate.

I think Republicans have to open their eyes a little more so they won't get blindsided so much. They accept their leaders proclamations at face value, and don't use common sense or investigate themselves. Time and again it results in Republicans having to parrot the next set of talking points to cover the trail of corruption, incompetence, and coverups.
