I dont know if this is a tax discussion or more philosophical in nature. I am a low tax guy because i buy into growth that low taxes bring as more important for the economy than many programs or even lower deficits. But i think trying to fund a war with deficits over time will backfire and the legislature not at least trying for a fair pro growth tax, spending, & deficit compromise is not a good thing. How bad would have it been to have 17% cap gains and dividend tax and a 1% up adjustment on it rates??
