Gas surcharges hurt the working poor who can least afford it. How about luxury taxes? I'm also certainly with you on repealing tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. I'm also not sure we need to give mtg deductions for luxury homes. I think a mtg deduction for up to a million would be fine, but if you want more house than that- you don't get to deduct it.

Repeal the tax cuts for the wealthiest (over $500,000 per year). People like Gates, Buffett, Soros all say they don't need the tax cuts.

The highest tax bracket kicks in long before your have Gates/Buffet/Soros level of wealth. You yourself say "over $500,000 per year. That is a far cry from Gates's income or wealth.

Sure someone making $500k doesn't really need the tax cuts either but I don't see how the issue of what they need is primary or even all that relevant.
