It's not the numbers of borders that counts, but the quality of the borders. I imagine opiates are seeping out of Afghanistan in many directions- it will be interesting to see if there are more article on Iraq as a staging area for the durg trade.

If I were smuggling heroin from Afghanistan, I'd pick, not the most direct route, but the one where the officials are sufficiently corrupt to take a bribe, but sufficiently honorable to stay bought.
