"Their may have been less complaints under Clinton, but the time for the feds to respond was not very much different."

BS. Can you use actual data? No you allow your religion to get in the way. My parents have yet to talk to a FEMA agent. Despite the fact that they are going on 3 months since Rita. Now true, they were cutting checks in Florida in less than 72 hours after a storm, but that was an election year.

Under Clinton and Witt, the response time was very small. Under Bush the response has been more leasurely. Yeah, true. When the hurricanes were wandering through Florida, a swing state, in an election year, the response was almost instantaneous. When the storms affect an area that is more solidly one way or the other on an off year, the response is much lower energy, at best. Look at the response to New Orleans, compared to Mississippi or Texas. In the first few weeks, the response to NO was very good, compared to the other mentioned areas. When the cameras are focussed, Bush puts on a show. When they aren't, everything goes to pot.

You, Tim, are a koolaid drinker. Too bad you don't have a clue. I deal with your type on a regular basis. All are morons.

hat's not true. They did very well under Clinton. There were few complaints in LA after the earthquake.

Their may have been less complaints under Clinton, but the time for the feds to respond was not very much different. If complaints where fewer it is probably because the state and local first responders did a better job, and also because the area devistated was smaller.

I lived in LA after the earthquake. I saw what FEMA did. There is no comparison. Its as if its a completely new organization. There were complaints but nothing like we are seeing now. And there were never the large screwups....ice intended for MISS ends up in Idaho???? Come on...........that suggests an org. that has no idea what its doing. Three months after the hurricane, FEMA trailers sit empty in FLA while people in LA and MISS live in tents and their cars. Do you really think that's right? Do you really think that's a reasonable response? Clearly, Bush is trying to kill the organization.
