The money that is presently being paid to the rich in the form of tax breaks.

The sum total of this money is $0.00

Letting someone keep more of their own money is not paying them anything.


I gather you think it's just fine that this money paid to the rich in the form of tax breaks is taken from cuts in medicaid, cuts in relief to Katrina victims, cuts in support for medicare, cuts in support for education. In short, that the poor and middle class "pay" for those tax payments to the rich.

On another point, the degree to which the actions of government make it possible for us to have incomes and/or wealth is remarkable and largely unnoticed.
