Peter, The history of the American Indian tribes is now amid the retrieving of as much is still available, cataloged, and stored in museums. Many tribes have museums on their reservations for anyone to see, and in my case, appreciate the opportunity to learn these things that came so very close to being lost to mankind.

The oral history has been passed down from generation, to generation, and the elders have taken the responsibility to see that it will be here from now on.

They lived quite differently than the Europeans that encountered them when they arrived on the shores of what is now America, and were not fully understood by most of the colonists. But, the Indians lived as they had to live in the manner that the circumstances they faced demanded. There is much to learn from them, including medicinal herbs that heal any human.
